Weather update - April 2016

Even though First Inter Monsoon (FIM) rains in year 2016 have now started over the island after experiencing a long dry spell during the months of February and March, the International Met Authorities have predicted that there is a high likelihood of experiencing below normal rains during the month of April in the South Asian region, Recent forecast issued by the Meteorology Department of Sri Lanka has predicted that all districts of Sri Lanka have more chance (higher probability) of receiving below normal rainfall during the month of April, 2016. The reduction will probably experience during the period of first three weeks of the month.
